bid up shares of a company with a promising app while an energy stock slipped
on financial results. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, August
13, 2015 (as of 4 pm EST):
Slyce Inc. (TSXV:
SLC) shares jumped 27% to $0.33 on Thursday after the visual product search
platform announced that its 3D visual shopping app ‘Pounce’ is available now
for Android users. Pounce allows users to take a picture of any desired object or
upload a screenshot from a visual sharing sites such as Pinterest and
Instagram, and to be directed to all direct or close matching items from over
30 major retailers.
As well,
shares of Pacific Rubiales Energy
Corp. (TSX:
PRE) slid 10% to $4.03 as the Latin American focused oil and gas producer/explorer
said its second-quarter revenue declined to $703 million from $800 million in Q1
of this year.
Snipp Interactive Inc. (TSXV:
SPN), meanwhile, reported that Tuesday, August 11, 2015, was a record
breaking day for the company, as it managed to close on $530,000 worth of deals. Snipp
is a provider of marketing promotions, loyalty and reward solutions. Its stock moved
up 3% to $0.405 following the announcement.
