Small
stocks making big moves on Thursday, January 29, 2015 (as of 4 pm EST), as

DataWind Inc. (TSX: DW)
shares climbed 22% to $2.30 on Thursday after the provider of Internet access
in emerging markets said it has entered into an agreement with one of India’s
major telecommunication providers with than 100 million subscribers, in which DataWind
will offer its devices with bundled nationwide Internet service coverage. DataWind
was also mentioned in a recent interview with Steven Palmer of AlphaNorth Asset
Management (Read it here).
Merrex Gold Inc. (TSXV: MXI),
meanwhile, reported that an agreement in principle has been reached with
joint venture operator IAMGOLD Corporation to settle all of Merrex’s financial
obligations pursuant to the Siribaya gold project JV in West Mali to
December 31, 2014. Merrex Gold stock moved up 23% to $0.08 following the
announcement.
Finally, Saturn Minerals Inc. (TSXV:
SMI) shares continued to move higher Thursday, up 3% to $0.165 on volume of
more than 2 million shares. On Tuesday, shares of the junior Canadian energy explorer
gained 3% after the company announced that it has completed the previously
announced 2D seismic program over Petroleum Exploration Permit 72 and that it
has received final work permits to complete the seismic program on Petroleum
Exploration Permit 71.
