Jay Taylor, editor of J Taylor’s Gold, Energy
& Tech Stocks (miningstocks.com), recommended his readers buy shares of Viscount Mining Corp. (TSXV: VML) in one of his Free Reports dated January 23, 2015.
Mr. Taylor said Viscount Mining, a silver and gold
prospect generator in Nevada, “represents one of the most exciting new deals I
have seen throughout my career writing about junior mining companies”
Despite this challenging environment for junior
resource financing Viscount’s Chairman, Kaare Foy, and CEO, Jim MacKenzie, have
expertise in putting deals together and raising capital in Canada and the U.S.
Over the past few years, Mr. MacKenzie accumulated
a portfolio of exploration properties in Cherry Creek, Nevada, comprising 9,000
acres, where 20 past-producing silver and gold mines have existed.
Mr. Taylor added that he envisions Viscount as “a
prospect generator but one with properties which, owing to past production, are
less risky than some of the other earlier-stage prospect generators. He also
believes “some sizeable exploration money will come into the picture soon,
especially if the northern portion of the Cherry Creek prospects continues to
show up as a Long Canyon (Newmont Mining’s multi-million ounce, high-grade,
open pit deposit) lookalike.”
Mr. Taylor says Viscount management has stated that
a top priority will be to confirm the presence of Long Canyon-type geology,
stratigraphy, and potential gold mineralization. In June of 2014, Viscount
Mining reported the signing of an agreement with Japanese conglomerate Sumitomo
Corporation of Americas to conduct an exploration program and advance the
Cherry Creek property. Based on last summer’s work program by Sumitomo, a total
of 325 new claims were staked and acquired by Viscount. And then on October 28,
Viscount announced an extension to that agreement, so in all likelihood
Sumitomo must have been satisfied by what they saw.
