Datable Technology Corporation (TSXV:DAC) announced a LOI for a Licensing Agreement and Joint Venture with ePlay Digital (CSE:EPY), which will help it gain exposure to the rapidly-growing eSports industry
SmallCapPower | November 6, 2018: Datable Technology Corporation (TSXV:DAC) announced on November 5, 2018, that it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for a Joint Venture Agreement and Software Licensing Agreement with ePlay Digital (CSE:EPY), a mobile game developer specializing in eSports.
This agreement will significantly bolster the growth of Datable’s mobile-based consumer marketing platform, PLATFORM3, as it is integrated with ePlay’s augmented reality engine and game metrics. Datable will utilize its influencer marketing and AI-based retargeting technology to grow consumer membership and engagement for ePlay’s flagship game, Big ShotTM , currently available through Apple’s app store.
Datable’s business strategy revolves around providing consumer brands with solutions to drive, track and reward consumer purchases, data mining, and loyalty solutions via a Software as a Service (SaaS) deployment. Traditionally, the Company’s offerings have been targeted at Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) companies and brands. As such, key revenue drivers involve onboarding new clients or penetrating new industries in need of Datable’s service. Consequently, we opine that a strategic foothold within the eSports industry makes sense for DAC at this stage.
Key timing in conjunction with the imminent launch of the Flexxi Rewards Network. Datable’s Flexxi Rewards Network will enable consumers to secure, control and monetize their data. Through a rewards-purchases program, the Flexxi Rewards Network will collect valuable consumer data that brands can utilize to increase their ROI on advertising spend. The Flexxi Rewards Network, once launched in November 2018, will be integrated with ePlay Digital’s gaming platform.
Strategic first-mover advantage in eSports. The Company indicated that it will actively pursue additional licensing opportunities related to the nascent growth trajectory in eSports. With the rapid growth of eSports worldwide, Datable could see future licensing opportunities. According to China Daily, the market for eSports within the country is expected to reach US$18 billion with over 430 million active users.
