ATV Maker Jumps on Financial Results: Sean Mason’s Canadian Small Cap Market Movers

Shares of
a recreational vehicle maker powered up on financials Friday, while an energy
play continued to slide. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, December
11, 2015 (as of 4 pm EST):

BRP Inc. (TSX:
DOO
) shares gained 10% to $22.10 on Friday after the manufacturer of powersports
vehicles and propulsion systems, including Ski-Doo and Sea-Doo, announced that
its third-quarter revenue rose 10% to $1.01 billion, while net income for the
period increased $28.3 million to $65.5 million. BRP also provided
some upbeat guidance for 2016.  

As well, shares
of Twin Butte Energy Ltd. (TSX:
TBE
) continued to slid, down 8% to $0.115 a day after the intermediate oil
and gas company said it will be suspending its dividend and has initiated a
strategic review to enhance shareholder value, which could include the sale of
some, or all, of its assets.

Glen Eagle Resources Inc. (TSXV:
GER
) stock, meanwhile, continued to move higher, up 30% to $0.065 a day
after the Company reported that Cobra Oro’s second development phase to build a
cyanide circuit for its processing plant in Honduras is near completion.

Finally, Champion Iron Limited (TSX:
CIA
) shares jumped 30% to $0.195 after the iron ore project developer
announced that it will buy Quebec’s Bloom Lake iron ore mine and related rail
assets for C$10.5 million. Cliffs Natural Resources paid C$4.9 billion for Bloom
Lake back in 2011.
