ZaZa Energy Corporation (NASDAQ: ZAZA)
shares shot up 39% to $3.55 after the gas and oil company reported its Q3
earnings. On a per-share basis, the company reported earnings of $0.83 for Q3,
which is up from a loss of $2.01/share in Q3 of 2013. Revenue increased 144%
year over year to $2.7 million for the quarter, up from $1.1 million in the
year-ago period.
As well,
shares of Rocket Fuel Inc. (NASDAQ: FUEL)
surged 18% to $19.20 after the technology company reported its Q3 earnings. The
company announced a third quarter adjusted net loss of $6.6 million, or $0.18
per share, which came in lower than the loss of 30 cents per share analysts
were expecting. The company also reported that revenue grew by 63% to $102.1
million.
Revance Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: RVNC)
stock, meanwhile, dropped 24% to $16.07 after the biopharmaceutical company that
develops botulinum toxin products for use in aesthetic and therapeutic
indications reported a third-quarter net loss that swelled to $14.0 million from
$8.9 million.
