shares climbed 10% to $7.59 on volume of more than 2.4 million shares Thursday
as the provider of Performance Engineered Films to the touch screen, flexible
printed electronics and display markets said it has achieved roll-to-roll pilot
production of its InTouch Sensors.
As well,
shares of Elizabeth Arden (NASDAQ: RDEN)
slipped 17% to $22.41 on more than 3 million shares traded after South
Korea’s LG Household & Health Care Ltd announced that it is no
longer interested in acquiring the U.S. cosmetics firm.
GoPro Inc. (NASDAQ: GPRO)
stock, meanwhile, popped 31% to $31.34 on its first day of trading Thursday.
The company makes sport-digital cameras.
Finally,
QLT Inc. (NASDAQ: QLTI)
shares shot up 15% to $6.19 as the Canadian biotechnology company focused on
developing orphan ophthalmology products reported that it would merge with Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: AUXL).
Under the terms of the agreement, shareholders of Auxilium will receive 3.1359
QLT shares for each Auxilium share held.
