NQ Mobile Inc (NYSE: NQ), engaged in the business of providing mobile Internet services, was the top performer in the U.S. technology sector after climbing 35.2% and closed at $4.68 Tuesday, while recording significant trading volumes of 18.7 million shares. The rise in the stock’s price resulted due to the company’s announcement of $80 million share buyback program. During the past 5-trading sessions, NQ fell by 0.8% with daily average trading volumes of 9.5 million shares, while the stock tumbled 37.4% during the past one month with daily average trading volumes of 3.3 million shares.

Top Canadian Gainer

Colt Resources Inc (TSXV: GTP), engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties in Portugal and Canada, was the top sector gainer after skyrocketing 105.2% and closed at C$0.20 Tuesday, while recording significant trading volumes of 106,291 shares. Recently, GTP has entered into a letter of agreement with Sunrise Resources Ltd. (TSXV: SHI) with respect to its extra high property. The extra high property is comprised of approximately 1075 hectares located on Samatosum Mountain, immediately south of the Rea Deposit where previous drill programs have revealed important concentrations of gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc. During the past 5-trading sessions, GTP gained 254.5% with daily average trading volumes of 113,582 shares, while the stock accumulated 143.8% gain during the past one month with daily average trading volumes of 83,435 shares.
