Small
cap stocks making big moves on Thursday, May 22, 2014 (as of 4 pm EST)
Royale Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ROYL)
shares shot up 20% to $3.37 on volume of more than 11.1 million shares Thursday
after the natural gas and oil producer said it identified a drillable
target as large as 20,000 acres using 3D seismic while exploring in Alaska.
As well,
shares of China Precision Steel, Inc.
(NASDAQ:
CPSL) slid 18% to $1.34 as the niche precision steel processing company
announced that on May 15, 2014, it received a delisting notice from the NASDAQ
due to the failure to pay certain fees required by Listing Rule
5250(f).
NTelos Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: NTLS),
meanwhile, reported that it extended a roaming agreement with
partner Sprint Corp. (NYSE: S) through
2022. NTelos stock moved up 19% to $14.34.
Finally,
Sanchez Energy Corporation (NYSE: SN)
shares climbed 9% to $31.41 after the independent exploration and production
company said it will purchase operated assets to be named
Catarina in the Eagle Ford trend of South Texas from wholly-owned subsidiaries
of Royal Dutch Shell (NYSE: RDS.A) for
about $639 million in cash. The assets consist of 60 MMBOE of proved reserves
and 24,000 BOE/D of average first quarter 2014 production (60% liquids).
