Peregrine Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: PSMI) Shares Soar on Takeover Deal: U.S. Daily Market Movers

Peregrine Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: PSMI)
shares shot up 63% to $12.53 on volume of more than 12 million shares Friday
after the fabless provider of integrated RF solutions said it has agreed to be
acquired by a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japan’s Murata Manufacturing Co. for
$12.50 per share in cash, or a total consideration of $471 million.

As well,
shares of ZBB Energy Corporation (NYSE
MKT: ZBB
) slid 24% to $1.10 on more than 9.4 million shares traded as
the developer of renewable energy power platforms and hybrid vehicle control
systems announced a public offering of 11.52 million shares of its common stock
at a price to the public of $1.12 per share. 

Emerson Radio Corp. (NYSE MKT: MSN), meanwhile,
reported that it has declared an extraordinary cash dividend of $0.70 per
common share payable on September 30, 2014 to shareholders of record at the
close of trading on September 12, 2014. Emerson Radio stock popped 20% to $1.92
following the announcement.

Finally,
ParkerVision, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRKR)
shares jumped 18% to $1.31 after the developer of radio-frequency (RF)
technologies said it has amended its patent infringement complaint filed on May
1, 2014 to included Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.
