Small

NF Energy Saving Corporation (NASDAQ: NFEC)
shares shot up 49% to $1.74 on volume of more than 4.9 million shares Tuesday
after the China-based provider of integrated energy conservation solutions said
it has signed two contracts with the Water Diversion Project to supply $15
million of butterfly valve flow control equipment.
As well,
shares of Quiksilver, Inc. (NYSE: ZQK)
plunged 41% to $3.41 on more than 59.3 million shares traded as the provider of
outdoor sports apparel reported second-quarter financial results that badly
missed Wall Street expectations and issued a disappointing outlook.
Saratoga Resources, Inc. (NYSE MKT:
SARA), meanwhile, announced that its Rocky 3 well exceeded expectations
when it tested at an equivalent rate of 1,531 barrels of oil per day.
Saratoga stock popped 33% to $1.65.
Finally,
Acorn Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACFN)
shares jumped 24% to $1.74 after the company reported that its DSIT Solutions
Ltd. subsidiary has completed a design review, which is the first milestone of
a contract received in late 2013 to supply and support an advanced underwater
acoustic monitoring system. The total value of the contract is in excess of $14
million, of which $11.2 million is a fixed amount with the balance being
contingent on the customer’s requirements.
