Small
cap stocks making big moves on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 (as of 4 pm EST)
IsoRay Inc. (NYSE
MKT: ISR) shares powered 30% higher to $2.41 on volume of more than 21.6
million shares Wednesday after the medical technology company announced the publication
of the first major peer reviewed study showing improved results using its
Cesium-131 seeds in the treatment of gynecologic cancer.
As well,
shares of Lihua International, Inc.
(NASDAQ: LIWA)
plunged 52% to $2.08 on more than 1.9 million shares traded following allegations
in the Chinese media that the manufacturer of copper product alternatives
failed to disclose that its production activities substantially decreased in
2013, and that local Chinese courts had seized its warehouse.
FX Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: FXEN),
meanwhile, reported that the estimated initial stabilized production rate for
its two Tuchola wells in Poland is expected to be approximately 24 Mmcf/d combined
when production starts. FX Energy stock popped 22% to $5.65 following the
announcement.
Finally,
shares of LogMeIn, Inc. (NASDAQ: LOGM)
climbed 15% to $45.08 as the cloud services provider announced better than
expected first-quarter earnings and revenue and provided full year guidance that
exceeded the Wall Street consensus forecast.
