Digital River, Inc. (NASDAQ:
DRIV) shares surged 48% to $25.65 on volume of more than 7.9 million shares
Friday after the provider of Commerce-as-a-Service solutions said it has agreed
to be acquired by an investor group led by Siris Capital Group, LLC in a
transaction valued at approximately $840 million, or $26 per share in cash.
As well,
shares of CBD Energy Limited (NASDAQ: CBDE)
sank 38% to $1.25 as the renewable energy company revealed that its audited
financial statements for the 2012 and 2013 fiscal years, and its unaudited
interim financial statements for the six months ended December 31, 2013 cannot
be relied upon, and revisions are required.
BJ’s Restaurants, Inc. (NASDAQ: BJRI),
meanwhile, reported better-than-expected Q3 earnings. BJ’s stock popped 27% to
$42.15 following the announcement.
Finally,
SodaStream International, Ltd. (NASDAQ: SODA) shares
jumped 15% to $24.45 after the manufacturer and distributor of home beverage
carbonation systems said it would sell some of PepsiCo’s brands through
its soda machines on a test basis later this year.
