BioLife Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLFS) Shares Surge on Services Agreement: U.S. Daily Market Movers

BioLife Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLFS)
shares shot up 11% to $2.64 on volume of more than 2.3 million shares Thursday
after the manufacturer of clinical grade hypothermic storage and
cryopreservation freeze media for cells and tissues announced a three-year
manufacturing services agreement with Somahlution LLC, in which BioLife will
manufacture DuraGraft, a tissue preservation solution for the storage of
harvested veins used in coronary artery bypass graft and other vascular access
surgeries. Financial terms were not disclosed.

As well,
shares of Uranerz Energy Corporation
(NYSE
MKT: URZ
) slipped 13% to $1.24 on more than 2.4 million shares traded as
the uranium miner said it intends to offer and sell to the public up to 8
million units of its stock, at a price per unit of $1.25, for gross proceeds of
up to US$10 million.

NeoGenomics, Inc. (NASDAQ: NEO),
meanwhile, reported second-quarter revenue that surpassed analysts’
expectations and increased its revenue guidance for Q3. The company provides
cancer-focused genetic testing services. NeoGenomics stock popped 20% to $5.26
following the announcement.  

Finally,
Select Comfort Corporation (NASDAQ: SCSS)
shares jumped 8% to $20.56 after the sleep products and services provider announced
second-quarter earnings per diluted share of 16 cents, beating analysts’
expectations of 14 cents per share, and posted a 13% increase in net sales to
$235 million.
