10 Alternative Energy Stocks to Watch: Investment Idea of the Day

According to BP’s new energy outlook to 2035, global energy consumption will rise by 41% from 2012 to 2035 increasing at an average on 1.5% annually. Nuclear energy output is expected to rise 1.9% every year while hydroelectric power growth is expected to be 1.8% per year till 2035. In another report released by The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), the U.S. solar power generation capacity is expected to rise 40% by the end of 2015. EIA estimates that U.S solar demand increased more than 32% during 2013 and will increase further by 35% in 2014. EIA expects wind power generation to increase 8.8% in 2014 and 14.6% in 2015, while hydropower and non-hydropower renewable used for electricity and heat generation will grow 3.0% in 2014 and 4.7% in 2015.
