Arista Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ANET)
shares shot up 28% to $55 on volume of more than 7.2 million shares Friday
on its first day of trading. The company makes ethernet switches for data
centers that power the cloud.
As well,
shares of Top Ships Inc. (NASDAQ: TOPS)
sank 36% to $1.85 on more than 2.1 million shares traded after the
international ship-owning company announced the pricing of an underwritten
public offering of 10 million shares of its common stock at price of $2.00 per
common share.
Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ: CMTL),
meanwhile, reported third-quarter financial results that surpassed analyst
expectations and increased its full-year revenue and earnings per share
guidance. Comtech stock moved up 18% to $38.76.
Finally,
Rally Software (NASDAQ: RALY)
shares slid 29% to $8.71 after the provider of cloud-based solutions for
managing Agile software development announced first-quarter 2015 revenue that
missed the Wall Street forecast and provided full year revenue guidance that
fell short of the consensus estimate.
