stocks making big moves on Monday, October 20, 2014 (as of 4 pm EST), as

Petro-Victory Energy Corp. (TSXV: VRY)
shares shot up 68% to $0.26 on more than 4 million shares traded Monday after
the South American focused oil and gas company reported that the Lapacho well
located on the Pirity Block in Paraguay has encountered hydrocarbons within the
Icla Formation at a depth of 3,926 meters.
As well,
shares of Niko Resources Ltd. (TSX: NKO)
plunged 55% to $0.33 on volume of more than 10.5 million shares as the
international oil and gas producer/explorer announced that on October 18, 2014,
the Cabinet Committee of Economic Affairs of the Government of India approved
the new domestic gas pricing policy for India, which includes higher royalty
and tax rates.
Primary Energy Recycling Corporation (TSX: PRI),
meanwhile, said it has agreed to be acquired by a consortium led by Fortistar
LLC for US$5.40 per common share in cash. Its stock popped 24% to
C$5.83 following the announcement.
Finally,
Natcore Technology (TSXV: NXT)
shares powered 33% higher to $0.60 after the solar cell technology company
announced that it has created an all-low-temperature, laser-processed solar
cell, which it added does not require temperatures above 350
degrees Celsius for any process step.
