Move, Inc. (NASDAQ: MOVE)
shares surged 37% to $20.96 on volume of more than 41.9 million shares Tuesday
after the online real estate services provider said it has agreed to be
acquired by News Corp. (NASDAQ: NWS)
for $21 per share in cash, or a total consideration of approximately $950
million.
As well,
shares of PDF Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: PDFS)
sank 29% to $12.61 as the provider of process-design integration technologies reported
that as a result of two contracts that are now not expected to be signed the
company anticipates its design-to-silicon-yield solutions revenue to be
negatively impacted by approximately $7.0 to $8.0 million in the third fiscal
quarter 2014 and by $10.0 to $12.0 million for the full fiscal year 2014.
Vimicro International Corporation (NASDAQ: VIMC),
meanwhile, announced that its joint venture, Shanxi Zhongtianxin Science and
Technology Co. Ltd., has won a contract to provide SVAC-compliant video
surveillance cameras and system to the Traffic Police Detachment of Taiyuan,
valued at about US$12.4 million and is expected to be completed by early 2015.
Vimicro is a Chinese video surveillance technology and solution provider. Its
stock popped 9% to $9.94 following the announcement.
Finally,
Addus HomeCare Corporation (NASDAQ: ADUS)
shares climbed 13% to $19.60 after the provider of home and community based
services’ stock was upgraded by Oppenheimer from “market perform” to
“outperform.”
