NXT-ID, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXTD) Shares Soar on Funding Announcement: U.S. Daily Market Movers

NXT-ID, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXTD)
shares powered 54% higher to $2.12 on volume of more than 3 million shares
Monday after the biometric authentication company announced that it
has recently completed what it calls “an essential round of funding” and
joined the NASDAQ to support ramping of production of Wocket as well as expand
its other biometric and authentication products and services.

As well,
shares of CARBO Ceramics Inc. (NYSE: CRR)
slid 16% to $70.91 on more than 5.6 million shares traded as the oilfield services
technology firm said it expects ceramic proppant sales volume to fall 18%
compared to the second quarter when it sold 454 million pounds as its customers
used more sand for fracking.

Viasystems Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAS),
meanwhile, reported that it has agreed to be acquire by TTM Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTMI)
for a combined consideration of $11.33 in cash and 0.706 shares of TTM common
stock, or a total consideration of approximately $368 million. Viasystems stock
popped 35% to $15.80 following the announcement.

Finally,
Global-Tech Advanced Innovations Inc.
(NASDAQ: GAI)
shares climbed 7% to $6.05 after the electronic components manufacturer
announced that its first-quarter net sales jumped to $24.6 million from $12.5
million, while its net loss for the period narrowed to $0.10 a share from $0.51
a share.
