EveryWare Global, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVRY)
shares shot up 46% to $2.75 on volume of more than 2.6 million shares Thursday
after the marketer of tabletop and food preparation products said it has entered
into an agreement whereby Monomoy Capital Partners will invest $20 million in
the company in return for EveryWare’s Series A Senior Redeemable Preferred
Stock with a liquidation preference of $21.2 million and warrants to purchase
4,438,005 shares of EveryWare’s common stock.
As well,
shares of EDAP TMS SA (NASDAQ: EDAP)
plunged 44% to $1.92 on more than 4.8 million shares traded as the provider of therapeutic
ultrasound announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Gastroenterology
and Urology Devices Panel rejected the use of the company’s Ablatherm-HIFU
device for the treatment of low-risk, localized prostate cancer.
HealthEquity, Inc. (NASDAQ: HQY)
stock, meanwhile, popped 26% to $17.60 on its first day of trading Thursday. The
company is one of the largest U.S. Health Savings Account non-bank custodians.
Finally,
Vistaprint N.V. (NASDAQ: VPRT)
shares jumped 31% to $49.26 after the marketing products and services provider
reported better than expected fiscal 2014 earnings and revenue and provided
fiscal 2015 guidance that surpassed Wall Street expectations.
