WPCS International Inc (NASDAQ: WPCS), a provider of design-build engineering services for communications infrastructure with five operations centers on three continents, was the top performer in the U.S. technology sector after climbing 41% on Friday after its wholly-owned subsidiary BTX Trader declared the launch of Celery, its new web-based product committed to putting digital currency in the hands of hundreds of thousands of ordinary consumers. The stock ended at $0.96 while recording huge trading volumes of 8.7 million shares. During the past 5-trading sessions, the stock gained 52.2% with 5-day average trading volumes of 1.9 million shares, while the stock is up over 88% in the past one month with one month daily average trading volumes of 880,935 shares.

Shares of Niogold Mining Corp (TSXV: NOX), a mineral exploration company with flagship projects located in the Cadillac-Malartic-Val-d’Or region of the prolific Abitibi gold mining district Quebec, powered 33.3% higher on Friday after the company announced a letter of intent with Osisko Gold Royalties (TSX: OR) where Osisko will acquire 14 million common shares of the company at a price of C$0.35 per share for a total consideration of approximately $4.9 million through private placement. The stock broke the short term 30-day and 50-day DMAs of C$0.21 each and ended at C$0.28 while recording significant volumes of 736,196 shares. During the past five trading sessions, the stock gained 40% with daily average trading volumes of 179,529 shares compared with the past one month average trading volumes of 47,225 shares. The stock is up 64.7% year-to-date.
