cap stocks making big moves on Monday, July 7, 2014 (as of 4 pm EST)
Camtek Ltd. (NASDAQ: CAMT)
shares jumped 57% to $5.02 on volume of more than 20.6 million shares Monday
after the electronic manufacturing company announced the launch of
its Eagle product line and said it has already received early orders for
the new product from semiconductor device manufacturers.
As well,
shares of GT Advanced Technologies Inc.
(NASDAQ:
GTAT) slipped 16% to $16.50 on more than 31.6 million shares traded as
research firms UBS and Canaccord both downgraded shares of the sapphire
products and solar energy equipment manufacturer.
EveryWare Global, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVRY),
meanwhile, reported that hourly workers at its Lancaster, Ohio operation voted
to accept revisions to their labor agreement that will reduce operating costs
at the company. EveryWare is a marketer of tabletop and food preparation
products. EveryWare Global stock popped 23% to $3.44 following the
announcement.
Finally,
Genetic Technologies Limited (NASDAQ: GENE)
shares shot up 11% to $1.14 after the provider of applications for non-coding
DNA said the number of BREVAGen test samples received during the quarter
ended June 30, 2014, returned to levels achieved in late calendar year
2013.
