A million-dollar investment from Eric Sprott boosted shares of a junior explorer Friday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, October 30, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):
Tarku Resources Ltd. (TSXV:TKU) shares gained 13% to $0.18 on Friday after the junior explorer announced that Eric Sprott will invest $1.055 million into the Company as part of a $2.5 million non-brokered private placement at $0.10 per unit. Proceeds will be used to advance exploration on the Tombstone silver property in Arizona, in which Tarku owns an option.
As well, shares of HEXO Corp. (TSX:HEXO) fell 15% to $0.81 as the Canadian cannabis company said it plans to consolidate its common shares on a one for eight basis to comply with the New York Stock Exchange’s continued listing standard.
PFB Corporation (TSX:PFB), meanwhile, reported record third-quarter financial results, while increasing its quarterly dividend by $0.01 per share to $0.10 as well as paying a one-time special dividend of $1.00 per share on November 30, 2020 to shareholders of record on November 16, 2020. PFB Corporation stock popped 13% to $19 following the announcement.
