Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL) Shares Surge on Financial Results: U.S. Daily Market Movers

Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL)
shares jumped 31% to $13.56 on volume of more than 19.5 million shares
Wednesday as the provider of photovoltaic modules, solutions, and services
reported first-quarter earnings of $26.5 million, or 37 cents a diluted share,
versus a loss of $63.7 million in the year-ago period. The results surpassed
Wall Street expectations.  

As well,
shares of Provectus Biopharmaceuticals,
Inc.
(NASDAQ:
PVCT
) slid 17% to $2.24 on more than 10.4 million shares traded as the corporate
website of the development-stage oncology and dermatology biopharmaceutical
company now describes PV-10 as an “investigational” drug for cancer,
which was changed from a “breakthrough” drug.  

Tecogen Inc. (NASDAQ: TGEN)
stock, meanwhile, popped 132% to $14.80 on its first day of trading Wednesday.
The company manufactures, installs and maintains Combined Heat and Power
products. 

Finally,
shares of NewLead Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ: NEWL)
continued to move higher Wednesday, up 33% to $4.40. On Tuesday its share price
soared 70% to $3.31 on volume of more than 53.7 million shares after the
vertically integrated shipping, logistics and commodity company announced that
its eco-type handysize vessel, Newlead Albion, had been delivered to the
NewLead fleet. The vessel has capacity of 32,318 dwt. The company said the
Newlead Albion is expected to generate $2 million EBITDA per year, assuming
$1.73 million yearly OPEX.
