More than a few speculators took a shine to Quebec gold results from a junior explorer Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, February 13, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):
Amex Exploration Inc. (TSXV:AMX) shares climbed 16% to $1.79 on Thursday after the junior explorer announced drill results from the Eastern Gold Zone on its 100% owned Perron property in Quebec, which included 29.44 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 8.50 metres.
As well, shares of New Gold Inc. (TSX:NGD) slipped 11% to $1.01 as the gold miner released Q4 2019 financial results that fell short of analyst expectations on both revenue and earnings per share.
CounterPath Corporation (TSX:PATH), meanwhile, reported that it has secured a deal with Vodafone Fiji to provide Bria mobile applications to enable voice calling for up to 700,000 consumers across the Fijian and neighbouring islands. CounterPath stock popped 26% to $3.44 following the announcement.
Finally, Intouch Insight Ltd. (TSXV:INX) shares gained 20% to $0.66 after the customer experience software and services provider announced that it has signed a non-binding Letter of Intent to purchase the assets of an arm’s length North American customer experience measurement company for a total consideration of US$2.0M in cash upon closing and additional contingency payments expected to be US$1.5M paid in cash based on performance for two years post-closing.
