Cesca Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: KOOL)
shares shot up 29% to $2.06 on volume of more than 9.3 million shares Thursday
after Maxim Group initiated coverage of the autologous cell-based regenerative
medicine company’s stock with a ‘buy’ rating and a $7 target price.
As well,
shares of Parametric Sound Corporation
(NASDAQ:
HEAR) slid 28% to $9.32 on more than 2.9 million shares traded as the audio
technology firm announced the pricing of an underwritten offering of four
million shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $10.00 per
share.
Knightsbridge Tankers Limited (NASDAQ: VLCCF),
meanwhile, said it has agreed to combine its fleet with Frontline 2012’s
remaining 25 vessels to create the largest U.S. listed Capesize firm with a
fleet of 39. Knightsbridge stock moved up 5% to $13.22.
Finally,
shares of VASCO Data Security
International, Inc. (NASDAQ: VDSI)
jumped 13% to $9.39 after the supplier of authentication and e-signature
solutions for Internet Security applications and transactions reported a 10%
increase in its first-quarter revenue to $38.8 million, while net income
for the period surged 46% to $3.5 million, or $0.09 per fully diluted share.
