Harte Gold Corp. (TSX:HRT), a junior gold stock, climbed after announcing that it has received all necessary permits to start production at the Sugar Zone Mine
The pending start of commercial production attracted a few buyers to a junior gold stock Friday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, September 21, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):
Harte Gold Corp. (TSX:HRT), a junior gold stock, jumped 17% to $0.455 on Friday after announcing that it has received all necessary operating permits from the Government of Ontario to start commercial production at the Sugar Zone Mine, which is located 80 kilometres east of the Hemlo Gold Camp.
As well, shares of Bitterroot Resources Ltd. (TSXV:BTT) plunged 56% to $0.035 as the junior explorer said the assay results received from the drill program at the Plateau Zone on its North Brenda gold-silver project in British Columbia “were not of economic tenor.”
Aleafia Health Inc. (TSX:ALEF), meanwhile, reported that its stock has been added to the Horizons Marijuana Life Sciences ETF (TSX:HMMJ). Aleafia Health stock moved up 18% to $2.39 following the announcement.
Finally, RNC Minerals (TSX:RNX) shares climbed 32% to $0.56 after Eric Sprott announced that he recently purchased 561,000 common shares of the Company, increasing his stake in RNC Minerals to more than 10% of its outstanding shares.
