Almadex Minerals Limited (TSXV:AMZ), a junior explorer, moved higher after announcing that it will spin out its early-stage exploration projects, royalty interests
Shareholders of a junior explorer found out they will be getting a special stock dividend Tuesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):
Almadex Minerals Limited (TSXV:AMZ) shares climbed 11% to $1.56 on Tuesday after the junior explorer announced that it will spin out its early-stage exploration projects, royalty interests and certain other non-core assets to existing shareholders.
As well, shares of Maple Leaf Green World Inc. (TSXV:MGW) slid 14% to $0.81 as the Canadian cannabis company said it has submitted a request to voluntarily delist its common shares from the TSX Venture Exchange, and has received conditional approval to have its stock listed on the Aequitas NEO Exchange.
SunOpta Inc. (TSX:SOY), meanwhile, reported better than expected fourth-quarter revenue of US$292.4 million. SunOpta stock moved up 6% to $8.98 following the announcement.
Finally, WestBond Enterprises Corporation (TSXV:WBE) shares rose 15% to $0.115 after the disposable paper products supplier announced that it has posted a profit of $124,341 for the quarter ended December 31, 2017, an 108% increase over the same period last year. Sales for the period increased 14% to $2,617,300.
