Gold assays grabbed the attention of more than a few speculators in a junior explorer Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, November 9, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

Wallbridge Mining Company Limited (TSX:WM) shares powered 67% higher to $0.125 on Thursday after the junior explorer announced initial assay results from its third round of exploration drilling on the 100% owned Fenelon Gold property in Quebec, which included 237.81 g/t gold over 7.02 metres.

As well, shares of Helius Medical Technologies, Inc. (TSX:HSM) sank 26% to $3.47 as the medical technology company revealed results from its registrational trial evaluating the safety and effectiveness of the Portable Neuromodulation Stimulator for the treatment of subjects with chronic balance deficits due to mild-to-moderate Traumatic Brain Injury, saying the primary effectiveness endpoint was not reached because low frequency pulse treatment had a significant therapeutic effect.

Painted Pony Energy Ltd. (TSX:PONY), meanwhile, reported record current production of approximately 360 MMcfe/d (60,000 boe/d), as well as a 134% increase in funds flow from operations in the third quarter to $29.5 million. Painted Pony Energy stock moved up 20% to $3.66 following the announcement.

Finally, ZoomAway Travel Inc. (TSXV:ZMA) shares climbed 143% to $0.085 after the company announced that it has engaged Wyred Insights to begin incorporating Blockchain technologies into its White Label and Registration Management Systems.
