A gold micro cap stock’s potential new discovery sparked much speculation Tuesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):
Gold micro cap stock Goldstrike Resources Ltd. (CVE:GSR) climbed 24% to $0.235 on Tuesday after announcing that initial prospecting and mapping has already resulted in what the Company called a “significant new gold discovery” at Plateau South in the Yukon, 4 kilometres from and on trend with the Goldstack Zone.
As well, shares of Potash Ridge Corporation (TSE:PRK) slipped 10% to $0.235 as the fertilizer project developer said SNC-Lavalin has been engaged for the first phase of an Engineering, Procurement and Construction program for the Valleyfield project in Quebec.
Intermap Technologies Corporation (TSE:IMP), meanwhile, provided an update on its previously-announced $175 million contract for the creation, operation and maintenance of a national spatial data infrastructure program. The Company said it has been advised by the client that the financing process is in its final phase with a leading multilateral financial institution, and Intermap is scheduled to receive a $12 million down payment upon the closing of the project financing. Intermap Technologies stock moved up 33% to $0.30 following the announcement.
Finally, Pacific Imperial Mines Inc. (CVE:PPM) shares gained 75% to $0.035 after the mineral exploration company announced that it has acquired, by staking, a 100% interest in the Eagle Mountain Lithium prospect located in California.
