Gold Junior Jumps on Financing Announcement: Sean Mason’s Canadian Small Cap Market Movers

financing took many by surprise Tuesday, while a graphene play powered higher
on a Fortune 500 deal. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, December
1, 2015 (as of 4 pm EST):

Lydian International Limited (TSX:
LYD
) shares climbed 9% to $0.25 on volume of more than 1.2 million shares Tuesday after the gold mine developer announced
that it has entered into definitive agreements related to a US$325 million
construction financing package for its 100%-owned Amulsar Gold Project in Armenia,
to be provided by Orion Mine Finance and Resource Capital Funds.

As well,
shares of ProMetic Life Sciences Inc.
(TSX:
PLI
) slipped 11% to $3.14 as the biopharmaceutical company said it has
decided to close patient enrollment in its Phase II open label study in
patients suffering from Type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome and will
transition to a pivotal placebo-controlled Phase II study in patients suffering
from Type 2 diabetes. The decision was based on the statistically and
clinically significant decrease in HbA1C observed in the first 11 patients
enrolled that have completed 12 weeks in the study.

Graphene 3D Lab Inc. (TSXV:
GGG
), meanwhile, reported that it and Graphene Laboratories Inc. have
signed a research, development and royalty agreement with a Fortune 500 listed
manufacturer. The Company added that upon successful completion of the
research phase, and subject to approval by the U.S. Food & Drug
Administration, the developed materials will become a part of a consumer retail
product. Graphene 3D Lab stock popped 105% to $0.39 following the announcement.

Finally, Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. (TSX:
TCM
) shares powered 72% higher to $0.395 after the miner announced that
from November 1–28, 2015, daily mill throughput at Mount Milligan Mine
averaged 52,457 tonnes, which represents a significant improvement compared with
the average daily mill throughput of 44,077 tonnes during the third quarter of
2015.
