Water Stock Squirts Higher on Dividend News: Today’s Canadian Small Cap Market Movers

GWR Global Water Resources Corp. (TSX:
GWR
) shares surged 16% to $8.32 on Tuesday as the water resources company announced
that its Board of Directors has declared a special cash dividend of C$1.55 per
share, payable on August 12, 2015 to shareholders of record as of the close of
business on August 7, 2015.

As well,
shares of Kane Biotech Inc. (TSXV:
KNE
) powered 43% higher to $0.05 as the biotechnology company engaged in
the development and commercialization of products that prevent and remove
microbial biofilms said more than 100 pet specialty stores in Canada are now
selling Kane Biotech’s bluestem oral health products.

PRD Energy Inc. (TSXV:
PRD
), meanwhile, reported that it has decided to cease operations in
Germany. PRD Energy stock dropped as much as 13% before ending unchanged at $0.075 following the announcement.
