stocks making big moves on Friday, June 19, 2015 (as of 4 pm EST), as

UrtheCast Corp. (TSX:
UR) shares rose 13% to $4.34 on Friday after the developer of the world’s
first Ultra HD video platform of Earth from space announced plans to build,
launch and operate the world’s first fully-integrated, multispectral optical
and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) commercial constellation of Earth
Observation satellites, to be deployed over multiple launches expected in 2019
and 2020.
As well,
shares of Midway Gold Corp. (TSX:
MDW) slid 18% to $0.09 as the emerging gold producer said it has organized
a reduction in the workforce at the Pan Gold Mine effective today. As well, mining
activities at Pan have been suspended as the rate of recovery of gold has
continued to fall short of expectations.
Loyalist Group Limited (TSXV:
LOY), meanwhile, disclosed its preliminary financial projections to its
stakeholders in an effort to “provide timely and transparent communication as
part of the company’s initiatives underway to restore liquidity and strengthen
its financial position.” Loyalist Group stock moved up 6% to $0.09 following
the announcement.
