Nuverra Environmental Solutions, Inc. (NYSE:NES) Shares Surge On Asset Sale: U.S. Daily Market Movers

Nuverra Environmental Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: NES) shares jumped
11% to $3.46 on Wednesday after the company entered into an $85 million
definitive agreement with Clean Harbors to sell its Thermo Fluids subsidiary.
The full-cycle environmental solutions provider is expected to finalize the
sale by early March. The transaction comes as the company attempts to focus
more on its shale solutions business.

As well,
shares of Sphere 3D Corporation (NASDAQ: ANY) moved up
13% to $4.10 after the company revealed its newest solution for digital
learning. Sphere 3D  announced the
availability of Glassware 2.0(R) for deployment in K-12 schools that are
looking to deliver Windows application workspaces in support of a variety of
devices and can work within an existing IT infrastructure or operate as a
standalone solution.

Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc. (NASDAQ: PACB) stock, meanwhile, sank 18% to $6.81 after the company
reported a loss of $19 million in its fourth quarter. On a per-share basis, the
Menlo Park, California-based company said it had a loss of $0.26. The maker of
genetic analysis technology posted revenue of $16.9 million in the period. For
the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $66.2 million, or $0.94
per share. Revenue was $60.6 million.
