Courier Corporation (NASDAQ: CRRC) shares shot
up 35% to $19.62 after the content management company said it has entered into
a definitive agreement to be acquired by Quad/Graphics,
Inc.
(NYSE: QUAD). Quad/Graphics will pay Courier shareholders the
equivalent of $20.50 per share, consisting of cash and shares of Quad/Graphics
Class A common stock. The offer values Courier at approximately $260 million.

As well,
shares of E2open, Inc. (NASDAQ: EOPN) jumped 23%
to $6.72 after the small-cap cloud software company announced it is adopting a
shareholder rights plan. The company’s stock has suffered under weak earnings in
recent quarters. Shares fell 43% in 2014. The one-year rights plan is designed
to reduce the likelihood that any person or group could gain control of E2open
through open market share purchases without paying what the company deems as an
“appropriate control premium.”

Nuverra Environmental Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: NES) stock,
meanwhile, sank 4% to $2.87 on Friday after analysts at Roth Capital downgraded
the company from a “Buy” status to a “Neutral” status with a $4.50 price
target, down from $16.
