Surging
revenue boosted an environmental stock Wednesday while a patent play performed
poorly. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, November 4, 2015
(as of 4 pm EST):
DIRTT Environmental Solutions Ltd. (TSX:
DRT) shares climbed 16% to $7.79 on Wednesday after the manufacturer of
prefabricated interiors announced that its third-quarter revenue increase 33.1%
to $62.1 million.
As well, shares
of WiLAN (TSX:
WIN) slid 27% to $1.82 as the patent licensing company said it will be
restructuring the Company’s business by the end of this year and slashing its
dividend by 76% starting in January, citing a difficult environment for patent
licensing companies.
ProMetic Life Sciences Inc. (TSX:
PLI), meanwhile, reported that its plasma-derived plasminogen replacement
therapy, currently in a Phase 1 clinical trial in the USA , has been
successfully used to treat a plasminogen-deficient infant in critical condition
in an intensive care unit at the Altona Children’s Hospital in Hamburg, Germany.
ProMetic stock moved up 10% to $2.54.
Finally, Sleep Country Canada Holdings Inc. (TSX:
ZZZ) shares gained 13% to $17.24 after the Canadian specialty mattress retailer
announced that its Q3 revenue rose 17.7% to $142.9 million, while its adjusted
earnings per share for the period increased 34.3% to $0.47.
