Gold drill
results continued to make headlines Tuesday while some shareholders didn’t seem
to care for a royalty deal. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday,
October 27, 2015 (as of 4 pm EST):
GoldQuest Mining Corp. (TSXV: GQC) shares powered 27% higher to $0.165 on Tuesday
after the gold explorer announced the remaining results from its recently
completed six hole 2015 drill program on its 100% owned Romero gold/copper
deposit in the Dominican Republic, which included 223.8 metres of 3.03 g/t
gold, 1.22% copper (4.77 g/t gold equivalent).
As well,
shares of Sandstorm Gold Ltd. (TSX:
SSL) slipped 11% to $3.53 as the precious metals royalty company said it
has entered into three agreements with Yamana Gold Inc. that include production
streams from up to five of Yamana’s projects. For upfront consideration of
US$148 million in cash, US$4 million in cash payable in six months and 15
million warrants of the Company, Sandstorm will receive a silver stream on the
Cerro Moro development project in Argentina that includes interim silver
deliveries during years 2016 to 2018 from currently operating mines, a copper
stream on the operating Chapada mine in Brazil, as well as a potential gold
stream on the Agua Rica project in Argentina.
Endeavour Mining Corporation (TSX:
EDV), meanwhile, reported drill results that the Company claims confirm
extensions of oxide mineralization in the West Pit area and surrounding targets
at Agbaou Gold Mine located in Côte d’Ivoire. Results included 6.71 g/t gold over
7.4 metres. Endeavour Mining stock moved up 6% to $0.72 following the announcement.
