As well,
shares of Biotech Bluebird Bio (NASDAQ: BLUE)
soared 72% to $84.28 following a researcher’s report from the annual meeting of
the American Society of Hematology, stating that two patients with a fatal
blood disease have been able to forgo blood transfusions for at least five
months after being treated with the company’s technique to replace the
defective gene that causes the condition.
Conns Inc. (NASDAQ:
CONN) stock, meanwhile, sank 41% to $20.83 after following disappointing
financial results in its fiscal third quarter. The company reported a Q3 loss
