Technical Communications Corp. (NASDAQ: TCCO) and LGX Oil + Gas Inc. (TSXV: OIL) lead the top small cap stock gainers for various sectors on both sides of the border, including one that saw its share price surge 53%.

Technical Communications Corp (NASDAQ: TCCO), engaged in the business of designing, developing, manufacturing, distributing, marketing and selling communications security devices, systems and services, was the top performer in the U.S. technology sector after skyrocketing 52.9% and closed at $6.13 Wednesday, while recording significant trading volumes of 1.3 million shares. TCCO breached all of its key technical resistance levels of 30-Day, 50-Day and 200-Day DMAs at $4.07, $4.09 and $5.00 respectively. The rise in the stock’s price is resulted with the company’s announcement, where TCCO received a $3.3 million contract from the Government of Egypt for the company’s DSD 72A-SP military bulk encryption systems, training and support. Delivery of the equipment and training services are expected during the first nine months of TCC’s 2015 fiscal year. During the past 5-trading sessions, OIL fell by 16.7% with daily average trading volumes of 357,365 shares, while the stock tumbled 31.8% during the past one month with daily average trading volumes of 337,359 shares.
