African Gold Group, Inc. (TSXV: AGG)
shares surged 44% to $0.065 on more than 4 million shares traded Tuesday after
the junior explorer/developer reported results of a Scoping Study and Updated
Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the Kobada Gold Project in Mali, West
Africa, which the company said showed “low capital and operating costs for
scalable gold production.”
As well,
shares of Antrim Energy Inc. (TSXV: AEN)
slid 13% to $0.065 as the international oil and gas exploration company said Sound
Oil plc intends to make a takeover offer of 0.3198 new Sound Oil ordinary
shares for each Antrim share, valuing Antrim at approximately £6.35 million.
Cardiff Energy Corp. (TSXV: CRS),
meanwhile, revealed initial production of 180 BOPD (Barrels of Oil per day) and
250,000 Cubic Feet of Gas (250 MCF) from the Bearcat #4 well in Ballinger,
Texas. Cardiff Energy stock popped 20% to $0.21 following the announcement.
Finally, DragonWave Inc. (TSX: DWI)
shares climbed 11% to $1.19 after the supplier of packet microwave radio
systems for mobile and access networks announced orders in excess of US$10
million for the month of November from a Tier One North American mobile
operator.
