Biotech Stock Powers Higher on Investment News: Sean Mason’s Canadian Small Cap Market Movers

U.S. investors played a part in the rise of a biotech stock, while some shareholders
didn’t like what they found in the financial results of one company. Here’s
some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 (as of 4 pm EST):

Telesta Therapeutics Inc. (TSX:
TST
) shares climbed 18% to $0.37 on Wednesday after the late stage
therapeutics company announced that it has closed a private placement financing
of US$28.6 million, which includes investments from prominent U.S. healthcare funds
such as Consonance Capital Investors, Boxer Capital of Tavistock Life Sciences
and Omega Funds.

As well,
shares of Grenville Strategic Royalty
Corp.
(TSXV:
GRC
) slid 20% to $0.60 as the provider of royalty-based finance solutions
revealed its Q2, 2015 financial results, which included an impairment provision
of $1,008,405 relating to one portfolio investment.

Adventure Gold Inc. (TSXV:
AGE
), meanwhile, reported gold intercepts from the channel sampling program
carried out over two mechanical stripping areas on the New Beliveau gold
deposit located on its 100%-owned Val-d’Or East project in Quebec, which
included 6.4 g/t gold over 19.7 metres. Adventure Gold stock popped 54% to
$0.10 following the announcement.
